We are looking to bring on a Head of Design who will lead the development and management of the dubizzle design studio- an amazing design team that is able to mold itself to deliver the design requirements of the entire company- delivering amazing products as well as the holistic visual journey and experience beyond the web/app-store.



At the moment you could work in an agency, for a sweet brand, as an independent guru, or be from Neptune - to us it doesn’t matter as long as you can bring strong leadership to one of the region’s best online brands, and take analytical thinking, through logical strategy, and into a downright awesome execution in the science and art of design.



We know our brand is the glue that holds the Dubizzle universe together. The way we build our site, the way we interact with our customers and the way we market our wow services all stem from the same values that are rooted in our brand essence.



What you’ll do:

• Define and refine the process for designing new products

• Maintain and refine our brand and identity outside of the product across marketing, advertising and partners/ advertisers

• Coach, mentor, and scale a world-class team of designers, visualizers and experience experts

• Guide a team to craft beautifully-composed layouts and pixel perfect executions

• Push and hero mobile interfaces across the major OS

• Create compelling interaction design: it’s not just about how it looks, it’s about how it acts, moves, and feels

• Research, test, and analyze: user data informs and guides our design decisions

• Manage briefs from across the organization in product and marketing design and development

• Leads a team of 10+ experts in the field of design and user experience

• Collaborates with product, marketing, engineering heads to deliver business critical strategy, receives briefs from Director level

• Accountable for quality and design of product and communications across all consumer facing output of the company - including web and mobile products, as well as substantial marketing output

• Responsible for design budgets and resource across product
