Objective / Purpose of the Job

To mitigate risk associated with customer credit and increase the inflow of cash available to the group by efficiently managing the collection of overdue invoices, whilst maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key Activities / Accountabilities

Credit Control Activities

To perform Credit Control activities in order to prevent and collect outstanding customer debt, while maintaining customer satisfaction.

- Identify and collect payment of overdue invoices through proactive planning, prioritisation and execution of daily call cycles.

- Maintain good relationships with customers within portfolio.

- Maintain quality collection data accurately and in a timely manner.

- Provide necessary information of credit worthiness to customer service when required.

- Manage the customer portfolio within the agreed credit terms and credit limits.

- Meet cash collection targets.

‐ Keep up-to-date with portfolio customers’ market through different media (e.g. newspapers, other departments etc.)

Departmental and Cross Functional Communications

To communicate internally and cross-functionally communication, following set processes and channels, in order to analyse and resolve problem collections in a timely and accurate manner.

- Assist other departments to ensure swift query resolution.

- Identify potential risk and create awareness to superiors.

‐ Escalate problem collections to superiors when necessary and in a timely manner.

CSR and Health & Safety

Comply with the company's corporate social responsibility, health, safety and environmental standards and responsibilities as identified within TNT Express management systems.
