Overview of the roles & responsibilities:



• Responsible for the development, maintenance, modification, and debugging of Web Applications.

• Require periodic analysis, design, programming, testing, and debugging of applications using current programming language and technologies.

• Completes necessary documentation and procedures existing and developed applications and systems.

• May interface with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.

• Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained.

• Reporting system problems or questions.

• Respond to and resolve these tickets in a timely manner.

• Through all supported systems, ensure testing and processes are followed throughout tiered environment (Development, Staging, Production).

• Work with developers to push code/content changes to Production.

• Work to troubleshoot and resolve production issues, escalating as appropriate.

• Review logs and troubleshoot when errors are received/reported

• Participate in knowledge sharing sessions as both a learner and a presenter.

• Participate in Team debrief sessions for production issues to improve service.

• Be available for on-call escalations for supported systems.

• Writing maintainable code using .Net technologies and tools.

• Work with various database systems including MS SQL Server, Oracle and frameworks including ADO and ODBC.

• Experience with ASP.NET(C#/VB.NET), SQL, XML, HTML, JavaScript and CSS.

• Deep knowledge of the .NET 2.0, 3.5+ Framework, including VB.NET / C#, ASMX and WCF Web Services, AJAX and ADO.NET.

• Solid understanding of Object Oriented Design and Programming.

• Solid understanding of MVC Model.

• A solid understanding of web application development processes, from the layout/user interface to relational database structures.

• Good knowledge of Windows Server and IIS 6&7.

• Creation of site layout/user interface from provided design concepts by using standard HTML/CSS practices.

• Design and creation of relational database schemas.

• Ability to use versioning control tools like VSS and SVN.
