My client, a global leader in the food & beverage, energy, and industrial markets worldwide is currently recruiting for an AP Accountant. You will be reporting to the Senior Accountant



The profile of the role is to ensure booking of invoices with support documentation as part of Accounts Payable function. Additionally the requirements of monthly close activities with balance sheet reconciliation are a mandate.



PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

• Booking, matching & coding of vendor’s invoices and ensuring that all invoices are matched against corresponding Goods Receipt, Purchase Order and duly approved according to DOA (Delegation of Authority).

• Booking of vendor payments and reconciliation of subsidiary ledger accounts against statement of account received from vendor.

• Responds to vendor inquiries regarding status of accounts payable.

• Analyze vendor accounts and manage good vendor relationship.

• Investigate and resolve vendor queries and escalate complexities to management.

• Bank data upload for bank reconciliation and cash in transit clearing (Accounts Payable).

• Control check to ensure that employee travel expenses are duly approved according to DOA Matrix and with good basis and support documentation.

• Record proper documentation of employee expense reports into SAP

• Participates in the monthly/quarterly/yearly financial closings of the business.

• Support the department during the internal and external audits.

• Handle Petty Cash account.

• Assist in special projects as necessary.
