Position Title: Account Executive - Teradata Solutions
Location: Oman
SUMMARY OF POSITION
ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE, BIG DATA & BI SOLUTIONS
This person leverages significant sales experience and domain knowledge, as well as Industry experience in Telecommunications (mainly), and possibly other industries as well (such as Utilities and Travel), in order to promote and close sales of products and services from NCR’s Teradata solutions portfolio, as well as other Big Data & Business Intelligence Solutions. NCR is the exclusive distributor of Teradata Products and Services, in 15 Countries, in MEA.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for Sales of Teradata Products and Services, as well as related Business Intelligence Solutions
• Collaborates with Area Sales Director and Solution Sales Specialists to define strategies and execution plans for Big Data & Business Intelligence campaigns in target Accounts, in order to drive profitable growth
• Maintains and builds extensive relationships in target Accounts and continuously seeks opportunities to increase awareness and create demand for Teradata solutions at various levels and departments, in Client organizations
• Understands the Client's business goals, IT plans and architecture and effectively articulates linkage to the proposed solutions, in terms of qualitative and quantitative benefits
• Develops Account Plans, conducts Competitive Analysis and liaises with Demand Creation, Pre-Sales and Professional Services Teams and Partners, in order to drive supporting presentations, workshops and proposals
• Effectively advises and influences customers through consultative selling techniques
• Maintains Sales Funnel for the current and next financial years
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
• B.S. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Postgraduate degree is a plus, but not a pre-requisite.
• 5+ Years of experience in Sales and/or Pre-Sales positions, at least 3 of which in Sales (including both Products and Services)
• Very strong relationship-building, client interaction, communication and negotiation skills
• Significant experience in one or more of Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, Data Management domains is highly desirable
• Significant experience in the Telecommunications Industry
• Experience & Contacts in the Gulf region is highly desirable
• Fluent in English • Dedicated, committed and focused
