About Your Job::



Responsible for the preparation and Execution of financial and strategic planning, monitoring variance against the budget, evaluating projects and implementation of cost controls for the new projects. As a leader, the role will assist staff members in providing value added, meaningful, and insightful reporting and analysis for Senior Management up to Chief Officers level.



Operational: accountable to present an objective view of the financial situation and provide sound recommendations for the allocation of resources in the most efficient way to achieve the business goals and objectives, Responsible for monitoring monthly revenue/expenditure variance for all expenditure divisions on an on-going basis and ensuring that actual income and expenditure remains in line with plan. Lead investigation when variances are significant and taking necessary control action as required, Accountable for evaluation opportunities/risks by providing sufficient information to facilitate fair evaluations. Introduce a way of thinking culture that causes people with the authority to recommend projects to first consider their value, risks and relative priority as a fundamental element of submitting the project proposal, Establish new and review existing policies & procedures across all assigned areas to ensure internal controls are maintained to minimize risk to the company.



Management and Leadership: Establish the department or teams objectives and priorities to align with and support business objectives, Regularly evaluate the department or teams objective, plans, procedures and practices, and makes appropriate changes if needed. Oversee and supervise employee, Direct daily activities, recruit, train, develop and discipline to ensure a high standard of service delivery, Lead, direct and manage the preparation, execution and analysis of budget of all Projects departments.



Development: Take responsibility for own ongoing personal development and growth of expertise, Train and develop other employees, for proper succession planning and risk management, Train Qatari staff in the duties above.



About You::



To be successful in this role you will need to have a Bachelor Degree or Equivalent with Finance/Accounting CA/CPA/MBA qualified or professional accounting qualification, preference will be given to those who have Masters Degree or equivalent. You will have a minimum of 7 years Executive Management job related working experience, 10 years Finance experience in planning and analysis with strong analytical skills with the ability to review variances, understand business cycle and their impact on the profit and loss account, Excellent communication & presentation skills are a must, as is the ability to work effectively across the organization, knowledge of cost center accounting, preparing budgets and forecasts, knowledge of the airline operation Managerial. Managerial skills - Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow, strong mentoring and coaching skills, Ability to train and develop subordinate's skills, ability to foster teamwork among team members.
