We are currently recruiting for a Senior Security Officer to be based in Abu Dhabi, UAE on behalf of our client which is a semi-government Insurance Company. This role will be reporting to the Section Head- Network, Telecom, Security and Data Centre. The purpose of this role is to assure the technical implementation and monitor the I.T Security Policies and measures into Information Systems to Protect Data, Prevent Unauthorized Access, and Minimize the Risk of System Failures caused by Malicious Software’s. The bearer of this role will be the main contact of the company I.T for any security audit that will be performed in the company, and his responsibility will also include systems in the disaster recovery sites.



The Senior Security Officer will ensure that all I.T Security Systems are managed and administrated under the company’s accepted Standards, and will also Implement all the Security Procedures and configurations as per the I.T Security Policies. He or She will support the I.T Risk Management process via analyzing threats to the computing environment, and ensure all I.T security incidents are promptly detected, investigated, reported and resolved. This role must ensure an ongoing I.T security awareness education and training is provided to all the I.T members, which also covers giving security briefing to the new I.T Operations Team members before they join their Department. The Senior Security Officer will also be responsible for monitoring the vendor websites and approved security websites for the latest vulnerability listings. Providing a report of the Information Security Policy, and Procedures Violations, I.T Security Incidents, and bringing any possible Threats to the Notice of the I.T Management. Continuously updating the Security Standards, Procedures, and Guidelines for the I.T Systems, Performing periodic/ random security audits, and ensuring that all Applications/Network/Database security logs are monitored and reviewed effectively are also part of the main duties for this role.
