Job Purpose:
To conduct market, product and customer research, to analyze results and to draw implications to support other functions in delivering the overall business strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Research:
1. Executes the market research plan and calendar for the company’s research department
2. Executes plan to conduct primary research, collects information and writes reports to aid department and management decision making.
3. Works with critical business teams - Business Development, Marketing, Asset Management, etc. for identifying possible primary & secondary research areas
4. Co-ordinates research (primary and secondary) through external agencies focusing on industry, product, consumer and economic trends that drive the Company’s business
5. Assisting in preparing reports which include industry outlooks and sectoral valuation
6. Assists in creating relationships with market research agencies for periodic data collection for the company’s research database
7. Actively participates in assigned Cross Functional Teams (CFT) and ensures timely dissemination of information to CFT
Data Analysis:
1. Assists in the preparation of Request For Information and Request For Proposal, ensuring all the data supplied for the same is accurate and up-to-date
2. Maintains the database of prequalified service providers and updates it on a regular basis
3. Explores the different available databases and assess them for their credibility and effectiveness on a regular basis
4. Collects market and consumer data to help develop - Insights into customer trends and preferences - Key customer metrics - Ways for cost effective design and implementation of primary research plans
5. Collects competitive information related to insights into real estate market, new players and entrants, and competitor strategy research
6. Documents and presents findings / recommendations to the research team for further dissemination to the appropriate parties
Self-Management:
1. Strives to achieve the highest levels of proficiency on all the competencies and skills required to perform the role
2. Actively participates and contributes feedback, if assigned to any Cross Functional Teams (CFT)
3. Identifies the training and development requirements for self and agree on them with the Assistant Vice President - Research to ensure that the required training is arranged and attended
4. Sets the performance goals in the beginning of the year after discussion with the Assistant Vice President - Research and ensures that the goals are achieved during the course of the year
