A Public Joint Stock Company based in Abu Dhabi is looking for a senior Legal Counsel.



KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES :



- In conjunction with the Executive Management, contribute to the formulation of the business strategy in line with the company’s vision, mission and corporate governance;



- Recommend the legal departmental budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget;



- Advise top management on legal implications of new projects, investments, including joint ventures;



- Manage the assessment of risk before entering into contracts or legal obligations;



- Lead the drafting, review and negotiation of contracts and agreements;



- Ensure that the company’s rights vis-à-vis third parties are adequately protected and initiate litigation or court process where necessary;



- Manage the protection of the organisation’s intellectual property rights including registration of trademarks locally and internationally and copyright and institution of proceedings where appropriate;



- Ensure compliance to all relevant quality, health, safety and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the department;



- Develop and maintain effective relationships with all relevant external/internal entities such as partners, various government regulatory authorities, service providers, key stakeholders.
