Purpose:

The Quantity Surveyor is assigned to manage site commercial and contractual issues. He is to report directly to the Senior Resident Engineer in Jeddah and the Senior Accounts Manager in the regional Head Office.



Principal Accountabilities:



Undertake the measurement of completed works in cooperation with the Client and the Contractor.

General contract administration of all the Client’s commercial procedures, Contractor submitted records and correspondence etc.

Agreement of star rates where necessary.

Process and authorise the monthly site payment applications from the Contractor for issuance to the Client.

Preparation of variation orders for the works, including estimating for the varied works.

Review of contractual claims and assessment of entitlement.

Attending progress meetings with the Client and/or Contractor, as necessary.

Advises the site team on contractual issues.

Agreement of final account with the Contractor with a view to making recommendations to the Client for acceptance.

Produce project cost monitoring and forecasting.

Preparation of MME monthly supervision invoices.
