The IT Applications Manager's role is to supervise and maintain the organization's repository of applications through best practices and the appropriate staffing and management of a technical team. The IT Applications Manager is also responsible for planning and coordinating the processes required for the provision of user applications and systems necessary for business operations.The IT Applications Manager is responsible for the organisation part of one or several projects whose goals are to improve the quality of the customer service, the efficiency of the company, the internal control and or to reduce costs through software applications. These projects will take place in Middle East and India.ResponsibilitiesThe IT Applications Manager will ensure that all below responsibilities are aligned with the Group IT policies, strategy and directives.Ensure that applications meet business requirements and fulfill end-user requirements.Review and analyze existing applications effectiveness and efficiency, and then develop strategies for improving or leveraging these systems.Manage and review projects and evolutions resources planning.Negotiate deadlines for any new applications deployment or evolution requestsEvaluate, install, configure, and deploy new applications, systems software, products, andor enhancements to existing applications.Collaborate with process owners in the testing of new software programs and applications.Design, develop, and install application enhancements and upgrades.Coordinate feasibility studies for software and system products under consideration for purchase, and give advice based on findings.Contribute to pre-testing phase of development by evaluating proposals in order to identify potential problem areas, and make the appropriate recommendations.Manage and provide direction for the application team in support of business operations.Compile and maintain inventory of company software and systems assets and their corresponding contractsagreements.Develop and communicate training and documentation for end users.Manage and provide support for software and applications as per the service level agreement.Manage or participate in the implementation of information systems from an Organisation point of view.Propose evolutions of the organisation, business processes and procedures, while ensuring a global functional coherence, and to manage or participate in the management of these projects.Develop documentation and train users.
