A role within the core finance team, responsible for preparation of all GL accounts & bank reconciliations, managing cash flows, liaising with banks and credit card companies, supervising sales/receivables/cash finance personnel and preparing monthly operating reports.

• Preparation of bank reconciliations and posting of all bank related entries

• Preparation of all GL balance sheet accounts reconciliation

• Communication with banks, preparing & maintaining correspondences, placing fixed deposits and FX rate shopping

• Liaising with credit card companies, following up on & resolving all disputes, managing hardware requirements for credit cards in outlets and reconciling credit card transactions.

• Cash flow management including preparation of cash forecasts, prioritising payments and monitoring bank account balances

• Verification of supplier remittances, approving payment vouchers and ensuring payments are in line with company policies.

• Preparation of monthly P&L accounts and cash flow statements for specific operating units and managing the day-to-day finance requirements of these units

• Maintaining intercompany account reconciliations, processing related accounting entries and liaising with counterparties for settlements

• Performance of month-end tasks including raising accruals, amortising prepayments and any other relevant entries

• Supervising all petty cash processes and maintaining petty cash accounts

• Co-ordinating internal, external or other regulatory audits

• Supervising the work of the receivables & cash team, validating & reporting daily sales, validating tenders, reconciling sales from point of sale with the GL, cash tracking and sales/cash exception reporting

• Perform other duties as requested by the Line Manager.
