oordinates administrative and clinical nursing care activities as required. Represents unit on nursing office, assumes duties and responsibilities for infection control activities under the direction of Senior Nurse and in coordination with Dubai Health Authority‘s infection control department.

• Coordinates and plans all needed activities/ programs to implement Infection Control standards.

• Develops and implement In-Service Education programs directly related to the new employee Orientation Programs regarding the infection control.

• Reviews and evaluates all procedures and policies related to Infection Control and provides interpretation for Manager Nursing, other departmental managers and professional staff.

• Collaborates with the Infection Control Committee.

• Attends all meeting /workshop which are conducted by Dubai Health Authority regarding Infection control.

• Develops/revises Infection Control Policies and Procedures.

• Collaborates with appropriate administrative and medical staff in maintenance of patient care standards that relate to Infection Control.

• Initiates and participates in programs and projects which enhance the mission of Infection Control within the organization

• Plans and prepares Infection Control reports on a monthly and annual basis which are submitted to the Manager Nursing, Administration and all required departments of the organization as defined by DHA.

• Reviews the quality of environmental cleanliness on a regular basis and reports concerns to the Manager Nursing and appropriate department head for resolution.

• Investigates significant outbreaks of infection to identify the source of the problem and resolution.

• Reports any occurrence not consistent with the operation of the organizational or standard of service for patients, employees or visitors and situations which put patients, staff or visitors at risk of injury or other harm.

• Work closely with CSSD Nurse/Technician for the implementation of infection control programs.

• Responsible for supervising CSSD Technician regarding infection control issues.
