Purpose



Provide valuable counsel on running the business and direct a range of key corporate activities including; treasury, finance, accounting, operations control and portfolio analysis & credit scoring.



Responsibilities:



1. Contribute to strategic assessments and development of business strategies.



2. Lead and manage the business planning process.



3. Manage the liability desk within the division.



4. Set up suitable controls, financial processes and methodologies, and ensure that they are effectively utilised.



5. Monitor performance against agreed operating budgets, review financial performance of the business and recommend corrective actions where necessary.



6. Establish and manage the liability desk within the division.



7. Assist in allocation of capital to individual business lines for investments and further growth.



8. Work with the Finance team to manage and deliver timely reports to assist them in the finalization of accounts.



9. Ensure regulatory reports are accurate and are delivered to the concerned division within prescribed deadlines.



10. Report to the Division Head on the financial and business performance of the division.



11. Ensure that the Division Head has all financial information required.



12. Manage acquisition of new business in accordance with the policies and procedures of the bank.



13. Ensure vendor contracts are as per business requirements at reasonable cost and comply with policies & procedures of the bank.



14. Develop the 3-year strategic plan for retail banking in line with overall strategic plan of the bank.



15. Assist in selection of strategic initiatives for implementation depending on market conditions, feasibility of product / initiative and risk appetite.



16. Set detailed KPIs for all frontline staff in line with the strategic objectives of the 3-year plan.



17. Manage strategic risk and reputation risk for retail along with risk management.



18. Assist in computing capital for the division and for ICAAP.



19. Assist in implementation of strategic initiatives internally within the division and report to CFO, CEO and SPSC.



20. Represent division at ALCO and branch expansion steering committee.
