1. Plan and execute strategic and tactical plans to achieve the sales objectives assigned to each of the product range/brand within the chilled products range

2. Support the business by assisting senior management in formulation of the annual budget, business strategy and business plan; and control the financial risk management framework

3. Analyze sales statistics gathered to determine sales potential and inventory requirements and monitor the preferences of customers

4. Provide input into the development and allocation of the annual budget for the department based on approved upon departmental activities

5. Work closely with the principal to ensure sales promotions of the products in the market

6. Prepare and provide detailed sales forecast for chilled products division to buying team to ensure buying at right price, quality and availability for chilled products customers

7. Develop relevant policies and procedures pertaining to the retail division; ensure compliance to departmental policies and procedures by all department staff

8. Sustain rapport with customers and consumer segments by making periodic visits; exploring specific needs; anticipating new opportunities

9. Build and maintain business relationship with chefs and purchase heads of large hotels and catering house to ensure growth in sales and effectively communicate with them on the commercial terms

10. Monitor the sales figures for all channels of sales; ensure compliance with the monthly/ weekly targets; take corrective action when necessary

11. Ensure that the sales area operates effectively and yields maximum results by regularly reviewing route and area performance on various cost effectiveness and sales performance factors (e.g., call rates, stock rotation)

12. Ensure product quality and freshness is maintained by ensuring that CPH, CCM and DCP practices are adhered to

13. Assist supply planning in forecasting the sales demand for the upcoming year based on the market opportunities, historical sales data and trends; ensure the business growth and capitalize the market share

14. Ensure total presence through 100% distribution of major products at all targeted customer segments consistent with set marketing plans and strategies

15. Oversee optimum use of material resources (such as vans, HHT and printers and fridges) provided to the sales team by regular monitoring and dealing promptly with problems arising from usage

16. Monitor and effectively track the customer credit accounts within each sales area and ensure appropriate implementation of the company’s credit control policy.

17. Ensure the enforcement of the policies and procedures all the time; manage deviation and take necessary corrective actions

Operational

18. Work actively with the marketing team to track competitor activities and initiatives to undertake proactive actions to enhance sales potential by Customer segments

19. Review the salesmen’s objectives periodically and help him by orienting, training, scheduling, coaching, and counseling. Work with each salesperson to establish realistic sales objectives for the month and action plan to achieve the set objectives.

20. Resolve customer complaints regarding sales and service and monitor customer preferences to determine focus of sale
