The candidate is for one of our unit-an interior design and furniture manufacturing company. Job location will be in Dubai, UAE and will be managing the production of high quality, locally crafted furniture for our clients.The job purpose for the Production Manager will be to lead manufacturing operations with the objective of ensuring manufacturing excellence. The Other Duties and Responsibilities of the Production Manager will be:•Define and cascade manufacturing unit metrics in line with company’s business strategy•Define budgets and cost structure for manufacturing unit, working capital, cash flows and product mix•Define and achieve financial metrics of profitability, productivity, cost optimization and capacity utilization•Initiate and implement best practices in quality management and plant management.•Create, define, oversee various committees and work groups to enhance teamwork and coordination•Approve departmental budgets, plans, resource requirements and broad roles•Explore strategic opportunities to enhance manufacturing presence and productivity in line with global benchmarks•Commission surveys and studies to understand customer satisfaction, manufacturing practices and implement findings•Oversee the operations of the manufacturing unit•Interact regularly with key customer to understand opportunities and concerns•Recruit, manage and motivate all manufacturing staff•Train and develop staff in quality, service excellence
