The Graduate Engineer Trainees assists and supports other Engineers and Specialists at workshop / site, according to given instructions. Training is hands-on with focus on the services business in general; tools and services specific to the assigned business line, and the Wartsila culture.
On completion of the trainee program, you will be assigned to your designated role and become responsible for providing effective servicing, maintenance and repair of equipments. You may also be responsible for installation, modification or commissioning as required.
Successful Engineer Trainees are rapid learners, use logic to solve problems, and are personally committed to continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Develop competency to perform maintenance, repairs and operations, and be accountable for jobs at end of training period.
Learn engine / engine related automation and controls / diesel propulsion / health and safety like first aid, fire-fighting etc.
Provide pre- and post job support to engineers and specialists at site and in the base location, including risk analysis.
Contribute to preparation of service reports.
Ensure that the work is executed according to Wärtsilä Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental guidelines and customer site procedures.
