The Engineering Manager is responsible for the following tasks in respect to the management of the Project:



• To keep record of all Design drawings and studies received by the Employer for the execution of the Project.

• To prepare all additional designs and studies as it will be required throughout the Project’s execution time period.

• To prepare all shop drawings for the works undertaken by the Contractor together with Bar Bending Schedules.

• To prepare in cooperation with other departments the method statements for each particular activity undertaken for the Project’s execution.

• To provide sufficient details, as given by the Employer, to the land surveying team in order to execute preliminary land survey of the entire Project’s area and establish a trustworthy network to be checked and agreed by the Consulting firm (Engineer) and SAR (Employer).

• To arrange for any additional land surveying is required to perform supplementary design or study for the Project.

• To prepare with the Planning department, in cooperation with other departments, the “Programme” of the Works as specified in the General Conditions of the Contract.

• To follow up monthly or as required by the Engineer the progress of the Works on Site and update the status of the general planning.

• To update the “Programme” of the Works whenever the previous one is inconsistent with actual progress or with the Contractor’s obligations.

• To measure with the Quantity Surveying department all quantities involved in the Project’s execution and prepare all relative reports and information, such as “estimated Final Contract Price”, “remaining Amount of works to be executed”, “percentages of certified works” and finally prepare and submit the Interim Payment Certificates.

• To prepare the “As Built” documentation for the various parts of the Project.

• To be in continuous cooperation with the Engineer and the Employer (SAR) to achieve the best result for the optimum progress of the Project.
