Monitor all mechanical maintenance activities relating to water plants, equipment and distribution infrastructure and ensure that it is carried out in a compliant manner and to a high standard so as to maximise plant availability and guarantee supply of a conforming product to customers.
The job is accountable for all mechanical operations & maintenance activities concerning all waste water and sea water cooling assets. At present this comprises of main waste water and sea water cooling plants, canals and their axillaries.
The jobholder is required to monitor the activities of a team of external contractor staff. The jobholder is the first point of contact for the contractor in the reporting of any waste water and sea water cooling maintenance issues.
Minimum Qualifications:
University degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum Experience:
5-7 years’ relevant experience working on similar plant and equipment.
Specific experience of having previously held operations & maintenance accountability for sea water cooling plant and equipment.
Prior experience of managing operations & maintenance activities through an external maintenance contractor.
Some prior project management experience.
Prior experience in the use of SAP to plan maintenance activities.
