Provide technical support and ensure the Fire Protection (FP) program to meet regulatory requirements for Operating License Application (OLA), and to implement the FP in BNPP.



Key Activities & Accountabilities:

1. Oversight Fire Protection (FP) Program Development

• Review fire protection (FP) analysis developed by KEPCO for BNPP OLA, and ensure the completion of the FP analysis to meet regulatory requirements

• Support resolution of FANR’s RAI (request additional information) related to the FP program



2. BNPP FP program Implementation

• Develop and implement engineering analysis, activities and programs in the FP area

• Identify and resolve FP equipment and system problems.

• Perform research, reviews, studies and analyses in support of FP technical projects and programs.

• Applications of new concepts and techniques such as risk-informed FP program to improve performance, simplify construction, reduce costs, correct design or material flaws, or comply with changes in codes or regulations

• Develop FP procedures/guidelines for BNPP as required



3. Risk-informed FP applications

• Understand Fire PRA insights, implement risk-informed FP applications as required



4. Stakeholder Engagement

• Facilitate communication both internally and externally in order to build and nurture mutually beneficial working relationships



5. HSE

• Follow all relevant departmental HSE policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions to ensure HSE compliance in all aspects of work in accordance with sound management practices by applying these HSE policies and procedures to self and others to take reasonable care for the health and safety of people, or the environment, who are at the employee's place of work who may be affected by the employees acts or omissions at work.



Please Note:

Barakah is (near to the town of Ruwais, Western Region) around 3 hours from the city of Abu Dhabi, along with it they have also built a large residential community for their staff calling it the “ENEC Village”.



This consists of individual accommodations for each staff - separate for men and women, Olympic size swimming pool, squash, tennis and basketball courts, an auditorium, huge canteen with 5 star hotel food catering, separate gyms for men and women, 4-5 virtual golf ranges and a social center.



The working days on the Barakah site are from Sunday to Wednesday (with a 3 days long weekend).
