The Role



This role is in technicalpProduction operations and works closely with engineering and operations. The role will require design initiative, group collaboration and solid Linux systems experience. We are looking for someone to build and maintain environments that are secure, redundant, high performing, and stable.



Responsibilities include:

- Installing, configuring, and maintaining applications, including web servers, in support of business requirements- Participating in discussions with engineering to help develop large scale distributed processing platforms as the base infrastructure of Enterprise class applications- Performing software installations and upgrades to application software packages- Scheduling installations, upgrades and maintaining them in accordance with established IT policies and procedures- Monitoring and tuning the systliConfiguration, deployment, testing, maintenance, monitoring and trouble-shooting of infrastructure components to provide a secure and high performance environment- Implementing platform upgrades and migrations.





Skills & Qualifications Required

- At least 5 years' experience managing and supporting systems in a SaaS/Cloud based infrastructure- Extensive experience with Linux based operating systems and knowledge of Windows based OS's- Experience and knowledge in Java/Hadoop/Oracle/MySQL- Experience with monitoring tools such as Solarwind, Nagios, and NewRelic- Experience with scripting languages- Experience in scripting languages- University degree in the field of computer science/engineering or information systems.
