Project Management



-Manage the project until successful delivery

-Initiate projects and startup

-Identify and assess risks

-Define monitoring and control process

-Plan phases and iterations

-Compile the software development plan

-Develop a Quality Assurance plan

-Assess project iteration

-Monitor and report project status

-Handle exceptions and problems

-Facilitating communication and working with business owners, analysts, technical team and clients

-Create a page about the customer on ihwiki if it is a new customer, or update the exisiting with all the information about the project.

-Create a Marketing Project Card and send it to the Marketing Communications Coordinator



Cost Management & Financial Control



Project cost control, timely customer payments and good project profitability are some of the main responsibilities of a project manager. That includes:



-Maintaining the Project Cost Sheet for every project

-Triggering the Invoicing process for various payments once they are due.

-Ensuring that project financials are on target in all stages of the project

-Identifying ways of reducing costs and enhancing project profitability without negatively impacting success

-Resolving any cost issues immediately, and if issues persist escalate to management promptly





This requires very good familiarity with the project proposal to understand how the project was priced, and the Project Contract in order to know when payments attached to various deliverables are due.



Change Control Management



-Establish a change control process

-Review change requests



Test Management



-Identify test motivators

-Assess and advocate quality

-Assess and improve testing efforts



Plan Review



-Review plans submitted by the Unit Lead and approve them.

-Requirements Review

-Verify that the results of Requirements conform to the customer's view of the system.
