Our client a multinational FMCG client is seeking a Director of Finance



To lead a team of managers, direct, and control the financial resources to maintain the short and long-term financial health of the organisation. Direct the corporate financial function so that financial transactions, policies, and procedures meet the organization’s short and long-term business objectives and are conducted in accordance with regulations, accounting principles, and standards.



• Lead and monitor the annual planning process and the quarterly review by compiling and analysing data and highlighting identified gaps

• Analyse, validate and report business performance, strategy, goals, activities, promotions, pricing, etc. from a financial perspective on a regular basis

• Develop and implement the strategy, structure, systems, objectives and policies and procedures of the Finance Department.

• Develop and implement financial policies, processes and procedures.

• Develop, implement and execute adequate systems of financial / non-financial internal controls in line with the company directions.

• Set up timely and accurate reporting systems, which provide relevant information to the key stakeholders.

• Direct and oversee the preparation and issuance of financial statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts, budgets and other financial reports and identify and provide recommendations on gaps between forecasted results and targets

• Monitor and provide insights and recommendations on financial performance and key operating decisions.

• Monitor industry best practices and identify value added initiatives in order to continuously improve processes and systems

• Oversee and ensure that the annual financial audit, preparation and finalization of year-end financials, calculation of annual Zakat and payment, and the distribution of audited financial reports to relevant stakeholders are conducted in a timely manner

• Advise senior management on key financial matters/decisions and on the potential impact of current and future laws and regulations.

• Establish and maintain positive relationships with banks, external auditors, investment analysts and financial institutions

• Monitor, formulate and implement a cash management plan to minimize security and/or fraud risks, and to ensure ease of operations and sufficient cash resources are available to meet disbursement and reimbursement requirements as they become due

• Advise the leadership on annual CAPEX requirements and coordinate with banks to secure funds for future projects

• Lead the preparation of financial & cash flow projections and future outlook of the company in order to facilitate banks to provide future funding requirements

• Advise all business functions on the approved monthly cash flows and ensure discipline and adherence to agreed budget

• Ensure appropriate risk management through financial planning and a system of internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the reliability of the financial records

• Ensure all the company assets are adequately insured with a reputable insurance agent.

• Ensure all the existing and new assets are counted, tagged and matched with assets register and that non-operating assets are clearly identified, disposed and removed from books on a timely manner

• Direct and oversee the management of Procurement activities and develop practices and controls that meet business strategy requirements.

• Plan, manage and review individual performance and provide regular feedback, development opportunities and coaching to employees

• Provide opportunities to the Finance department employees to suggest, participate in, and contribute to improvement, innovation and knowledge sharing initiatives

• Ensure that the Finance Division complies with company policies, processes, practices and systems, and maintains the organization’s high standard of work and work ethic
