· The main responsibility of Contracts Engineer will be to oversee the cradle to grave administration and general management of assigned projects from receipt of order through to final completion - Including planning, procurement, expediting and production of project documentation. He/She will be expected to manage and prepare correspondence on routine contractual/commercial matters.· To control effective liaison with internal departments to ensure their input and support to the contract. This may involve meetings, inspection, testing and site supervision etc.· To liaise with clients and suppliers on engineering matters to ensure project manufacturing & design is carried out effectively and is as per both the client’s and the company's required standards.· Review, monitor and expedite RFI’s/ ARFI’s to ensure compliance with procedures and contract terms & conditions and demonstrate understanding and the effective utilization of all contracting methods and types like: Information for Bid (IFB), Requests for Proposal (RFP), Request for Quotes (RFQ), Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) etc.· Prepare interim handover summaries and provide at any time, on-demand, a reliable and understandable contractual and commercial analysis & coordination of the project.· To organise and control contract programmes as agreed with the client, including internal responsibilities, and to control any variations once the contract is underway, e.g. time, specification, profit. In this regard, to be identified as the point of contact for any interested parties, internal and external.· Support the Contracts Manager with identification of contractual changes and cost variances and prepare and issue Early Warning Notices as required for approval and issue for implementation.· To control contract completion (including invoicing and documentation) to ensure customer satisfaction and commercial effectiveness. · To evaluate completed contracts against all relevant criteria, to report any shortfall against plan and to initiate and implement future corrective action as required
