Job Purpose:

The fundamental reason this classification exists is to control, manage and properly dispose of waste materials in the Sidra Facility.

Categorize waste for disposal according to type whether recyclable, toxic, hazardous, etc.

Act as a Focal Point mediating between Sidra Facility & the municipality for the disposal of waste materials.

Develop a procedure to contain industrial hazardous waste and biomedical waste which potentially severe environmental and human health and arrange with the municipality for proper disposal.



KEY RESULT AREAS

• Supervise and manage the collection of wastes in Sidra Facilities.

• Arrange the regular collection of wastes by the municipality.

• Adhere to the Qatar Government Policies regarding waste disposal.

• Promote public awareness campaigns which will encourage waste separation, collection networks and recycling bins. Coordinate with municipality/ government to sponsor demonstrations and public awareness activities.

• Adhere to municipality/ government’s approach in improving waste management, by adopting a waste hierarchy that will apply in order of preference avoidance, reduction, resuse, recycling, recovery, treatment and as a last resort, disposal.

• Plan & execute periodic inspection of waste water pathways such as sewer lines, manholes, etc.

• Documentation of daily, weekly and unscheduled activities.

• Preparation of monthly reports.
