With more than 750 cafes, stores and restaurants the Alshaya Food division offers a range of roles for different hospitality backgrounds. Brands such as The Cheesecake Factory, Starbucks, P.F. Changs, Pizza Express and Shake Shack provide everything from quick service and casual up to fine dining. We launched 8 new brands across 2012 and 2013 and have more planned for 2014.



The Role:



You will plan, coordinate and direct the Starbucks division quality control program designed to ensure continuous quality consistency with established standards. You will achieve this by monitoring food flows and quality performance trends, auditing stores and suppliers, compiling records and interpreting experimental or analytical results. The job will be field based with the majority of the time being spent visiting stores and suppliers.



You will:

- Formulate and maintain quality control objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals- Create and implement inspection criteria and procedures- Create and implement product traceability inspection criteria and procedures- Create and implement product FIFO (first in first out)/UBD (use by date) movements, inspection criteria and procedures- Apply total quality management tools and approaches to analytical and reporting processes within each department- Follow up and support brand teams in correcting opportunities highlighted by the external food safety audits.





Qualifications & Requirements:



You will have/be:

- Excellent self management skills- Minimum 3 years' work experience in food manufacturing industry- An understanding of food safety programs, HACCP principles, inspection and audit programs- An understanding of food safety and quality management systems like GFSI or ISO22001- Restaurant experience is an advantage- Excellent interpersonal, communication and analytical skills- Ability to travel in KSA- Degree in Food Science or related discipline- Prefer someone with local experience in KSA.
