JOB SUMMARY



The CMMS Operator is responsible for the Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS); ensures that all records of maintenance and PPM (Planned Preventive Maintenance) are updated and maintained. Provides equipment capability, reliability and availability to maintenance staff and ensures that all equipment is kept in the condition required to deliver its full design duty. Under limited supervision, performs responsible technical work and directs work in maintaining a computer-based process control system (Supervisor Control and Data Acquisition - SCADA) and the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).



DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES



• Monitors and releases all online maintenance requests to the concerned Supervisor/In-charge, in order to disperse tasks among staff.

• Answers all incoming calls, indicated as emergency work requests, and registers all such requests in the system.

• Enters all the PPM schedules, generates work orders and submits to the concerned Supervisor/In-charge for work assignment.

• Handles relocation of Hospital assets in the system; monitors and enters such repositioning/changes.

• Analyzes, evaluates and reviews systems and procedures to provide solutions to reported problems or to improve current operations of the computer-based process control system; communicates evaluations, alternatives, solutions and recommendations to management, users, co-workers, contractors and vendors.

• Enters the status/stages, of all the work requests received, in the system.

• Implements and maintains the CMMS structure to meet the needs of the Department

• Provides highest quality execution of the use of all CMMS maintenance modules.

• Maintains accuracy and validity of the data entered into the CMMS.

• Ensures that all documentation is maintained in line with set standards.

• Ensures that the CMMS system is available when it is required for operational purposes

• Provides information for regular management reports.

• Participates in educational programs and attends meetings as required.
