Job Purpose:
The successful candidate will work closely with and under the guidance of the Executive Director by managing the Communications activities of Centre of Innovation. She/he will be responsible for internal and external communications, and related activities of Centre of Innovation enterprise under minimal supervision.
KEY RESULT AREAS
Manage the communications team of the OC under the guidance of the Executive Director to ensure that communications-related activities are being accomplished efficiently and effectively
Develop and implement the communications strategy for the QF R&D enterprise; Follow-up with all R&D entities to ensure the goals outlined in their individual communication plans are being met
Manage the production (planning, development, and publication) of the R&D Magazine in coordination with all R&D centres and QF Communications
Liaise with press and media in consultation with Executive Director OC and QF Communications
Prepare and edit news reports, press releases, and other forms of internal and external communications
Prepare content matter for all communication, outreach, and PR activities (including the R&D website and associated microsites)
Prepare speeches, presentations, and messages for the Office of PRD
Oversee all translation-related activities in coordination with QF Communications
Monitor, collect, and compile relevant news/information from all possible internal (QF and R&D entities) and external sources including the print, broadcast, and online media
Develop preventive and remedial strategies for cases of negative communications
Ensure 100% compliance with QF-wide and internal (R&D) Communications/branding guidelines and policies
Develop and support custom communications/media campaigns in coordination with Outreach and Public Relations sections of the OC
Compile details of all activities and achievements for inclusion in the OOC Annual Report
Report to the Director with periodic status updates, evaluations, and presentations as required
