Assist in the implementation of development plan for warehousing & distribution, manage associated budget for the areas of responsibility, monitor performance against this, initiate corrective action where necessary to ensure operations are conducted within the agreed financial parameters. Assist to develop warehouse design, work processes and flows in the department to ensure appropriate policies and procedures are followed to cover key areas of supply chain activity to ensure effective working at all times and lowering variable expense, like overtime & casual labour. Establish and continuously review departments work flows and job responsibilities and develop/ recommend/gain approval to proposals for improvements to ensure work is organized and carried out in the most efficient and effective manner. Monitor the quality, cost and efficiency of the movement and storage of goods (product tracking, route analysis and re-routing recommendation to ensure optimisation of space and efficient operations on the warehouse floor, etc.); coordinate and control the order cycle and associated information systems, also allocate/ deploy and manage staff resources according to changing needs. Manage ATG car storage site and ensure efficient and effective coordination with shipping dept., freight forwarders and customs/ports. Also implement storage procedures on site, auto tag system and the management of multiple car carriers operating at the storage facility and implement other automation systems, needed to enhance efficiency of car transportation/distribution. Manage the work of staff to ensure that the set processes are followed and the workflow, quality standards, and delivery times are maintained. Manage to conclusion all disputed receipts and delivery issues of cars, spare parts and services for the protection of the Company and fairness to the supplier and customer.
