Job Scope:

Assist for complete documentation processes of all vessels. Ensure adherence to all quality practices and requirements at all times and actively proactive approach across all departments.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• To ensure that company’s S&QMS system is established, implemented and maintained in according with ISO 9001:2000 and ISM code.• To verify the effectiveness and to monitor the performance of the S&QMS system ashore and on board.• Monitoring the Safety, Pollution Prevention and Quality Assurance aspects of the operation of vessels.• Liaise with ship masters on routine issue of the S&QMS System. • Ensuring the S.M.S is understood by sea staff and office employees. • Carrying out both shipboard and shore based audits of the S.M.S. • Visits each ship at regular intervals, not exceeding one year• Monitoring ship operations by frequent inspection of log books, ship’s safety meeting minutes, master review of S.M.S and safety audits. • Ensuring the company instructions to the ships are kept up to date. • Keeps a copy of all company instructions to the vessels.• Maintain close contact with the vessels. • To ensure that availability of adequate resources, deficiencies, accidents, incidents, non-conformities, are reported and shore based support are applied and the corrective actions verified. • Investigating reported non-conformance with ship masters and superintendents. • Identifying training requirements with respect to shore based personnel involved with the S&QMS.• Reporting directly to the General Manager on significant issues. • Assist the Fleet Manager in other tasks as requested
