Job Summary

We have a temporary opportunity for an enthusiastic and creative Junior Designer to join our marketing team and help deliver, innovative and attention-grabbing designs for a period of 3 months. This role is varied with a variety of work, including advertising, direct mail, email, web, social media and merchandising.



The ideal candidate will be creative with lots of initiative and the ability to take projects from initial concepts through to completion. With typography, design and layout skills, and a broad understanding of the design process.



Main Responsibilities

•The successful applicant will be required to use their creativity and innovation to produce fantastic creative solutions that are on brief

•You should posses a clear understanding of typography and its relevance to good design both on and offline, ensuring all artwork is engaging and readable

•Ensure images used are of a high quality and that file sizes are suitable for final output

•Source and retouching images when required

•Manage multiple projects and ensuring work is delivered on time

•Ability to work with and create templates in Adobe InDesign and a clear understanding of character and paragraph styles

•You will be required to work closely with, copywriters, photographers, other designers, web designers, account executives, and marketing specialists to successfully deliver clients requirements

•Ensuring that all correspondence generated is prepared in accordance with

•Better Homes guidelines including logo’s, fonts, colours, photography, copy tone of voice. This will include the use of standard templates where applicable and following established processes and routines

•Carrying out any duties that may arise or as directed by your line manager, that are in support of Better Homes LLC and its various divisions



What are we looking for in the ideal candidate?



• Fresh graduates or 1-2 years of graphic design experience.

• Must have experience working with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.

• Must possess excellent communication skills within English (Preferably First language). Second language is an added advantage. Both verbal & written

• Background and work experience within Graphics Design/Art Design

• Pro-active and able to show initiative/ideas to constantly improve

creative output

• A flexible working attitude, someone who is willing to go the extra mile to contribute to great teamwork

• Self-motivated, with the desire to learn and develop

• Demonstrate project ownership and creative direction when taking on major projects or initiatives

• Excels at operating in a fast paced, close-knit environment

• Must be on father’s/husband’s visa. Or have own visa to work as a temporary employee for a period of 3 months.
