• Establish, develop, compile and monitor the laboratory quality assurance program and data
• Evaluates safety practices and procedures with respect to laboratory and field analytical work
• Prepares reports for management and agencies when required
• Maintains material safety data sheet records on chemicals and compounds used
• Compliance officers work with many different people and in a variety of environments
• Many Officers work long and often irregular hours
• Take an adversarial role when an organization or individual objects to inspections
