Job Description:

The data editor shall perform the following activities as part of his job:

• Geo-reference maps

• Locate and trace network elements

• Understand the map/network structure for water/electricity

• Create, update & delete network elements for water/electricity

• Create, update & delete network connectivity for water/electricity

• Create, update & delete network attributes for water/electricity

• Generate & print network maps

• Perform quality assurance and quality control

• Post & Reconcile geo-database

• Convert from AUTOCAD to ESRI format (for As-built updating)

• Update the spatial connectivity data (based on field survey data)

• Update the attribute data (based on field information & EWA Records)

• Understand data models associated with Electric and Water networks

• Coordinate job activities with fellow editors, technicians and engineers

• Perform other related tasks as requested by EWA staff
