A multinational company who has their operations in KSA is looking for a Technical Superintendent.



Scope of Position



The Technical Superintendent is to support the technical manager through the effective review and monitoring of the fleet under his charge.



Work Flow



Reports to the Technical Manager



Duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

- Responsible for creating, implementing an effective vessel maintenance plan

- Report to the technical manager on the defects and technical issues in fleet under his care

- Conduct training of vessel engineer staff in PMS requirements and record keeping

- Training on board crew in maintenance techniques

- Conducting technical audits of the vessels

- Assist HSE department with validation of technical NCR close outs and information

- Assist Purchasing with technical purchase information

- Liaise with suppliers on technical matters where the purchase requires some technical input.

- Ensure the vessel is conducting all statutory and legal undertakings as required by flag, class and Charterer

- To act as onsite technical manager for vessels in dry-dock where technical manager is not able to attend; and as full site manager for site office location.

- Assist with the conduct of vessels class and flag surveys

- Responsible for training vessel staff in the use of the engineering module of any PMS system in use.

- To assist the Technical Manager as required

- Responsible for checking the vessel is maintaining class approved drawings and technical manuals as required

- Shall assist in the effective review of the engineer officers on board the vessels in the fleet

- Contribute and participate in all HSE matter as most appropriate that is in line with the Company’s HSE policy.

- If stationed overseas, to support crewing agent with crew movements.
