Reed Specialist Recruitment's client is looking for a Senior Information Security Officer in Doha, Qatar.

Our client has a well established operation in Doha, and the right candidate will be responsible for the security technology planning support and will manage the security risk with expert planning, analysis and decision making.





Job Objective:



• Security Architecture Review (strengthen the customer’s network by identifying vulnerabilities and deviations from best practices and policy)

• Security Technology Readiness Assessment (speed deployment and reduce costly mistakes with expert analysis of the customer’s network’s ability to support and scale new solutions),

• Security Performance Tuning (proactively optimize advanced solutions with ongoing analysis of system configuration and policy implementation),

• Security Design Support (improve the reliability, maintainability, and performance of solution design)

• Security Change Support (mitigate costly delays and problems during critical changes to the security infrastructure)

• Security Knowledge Transfer (continuously improve the skills of the staff and understudies with ongoing interactive continuous learning and training sessions)



Key Accountabilities:



• Leverage security best practices across the company's business units and help mature current state of the company's enterprise business systems security

• Assembling and maintaining the enterprise strategy and architecture for information security services, mechanisms and safeguards

• Communicating threat and vulnerability observations clearly to IT Director

• Leading the company's security incident response capability in conjunction with the SOC Manager

• Ensuring that operational and incident trends and observations are considered with regard to the evolution and dynamic management of the company's information security services and capabilities

• Establishing patterns and frameworks to be followed in maintaining and evolving the company's security architecture and a clear and comprehensive security framework (and promote those requirements through partnership with enterprise infrastructure, networks and IT governance functions)

• Ensuring that required risk analysis methods are embedded across architectural programs

• Promoting a consistent security and risk vocabulary for information risk and controls and align that vocabulary with related compliance and business risk disciplines within the organization

• Developing metrics that demonstrate current security and risk state, indicators of progress, and the business alignment for those activities

• Formally and informally responding to customer and regulatory requests with regard to information security services, mechanisms and safeguards (this includes regular communications with regulatory, privacy and legal stakeholders and active participation in both internal and external audit activities)
