Job Purpose:

• Support Budget Holders and the Budgeting Team with the provision of a comprehensive Management Accounting Service

• Conduct Annual Budget Setting, Monthly and Quarterly Reporting, and Budget Holder Liaison and drive forward efficiencies and improvements with support of Senior Management Accountant

• Act as a first point of contact for all Budget Holder enquires and follow through to completion



KEY RESULT AREAS

• Act as the focal point with customers during the annual budget setting exercise

• Conduct the Annual Budget Setting exercise under the guidance of the Senior Management Accountant

• Conduct financial performance review meetings regularly and as required

• Identify and highlight areas of financial and business risk

• Analyze and present financial performance of QF and its component business units with recommendations for improvement of systems and processes to improve the business planning process

• Analyze variances, gather feedback from Budget Holders and explore potential options with budget holders and relevant senior management, make appropriate recommendations and advise of potential impact on the business;

• Assist budget holders with financial forecasting in order to highlight potential risks and improve the planning process

• Conduct necessary appraisal and research including analysis, and prepare recommendations and conclusions, in order to assist decision making

• Provide guidance on, receive, and process relevant AFE’s (Transfers, Contingency, Supplementary, Reclassifications).

• Perform such other tasks or duties which may, from time to time, be assigned inclusive of (but not limited to) acting as stand in for other team members during periods of absence.

• Use advanced IT skills (inclusive of Excel, Power-point, etc. with demonstrable presentation skills;
