A UAE based group of companies, with diversified business activities in automotive, travel & tourism, hospitality and retail sector, requires an IT Support Analyst.



Job Profile:

The IT Support Analyst provides day-to-day consultation, training, instruction, trouble-‎shooting, problem-solving to computer users for hardware, software, network and related ‎computer systems and peripheral devices. The position ensures the effective operation of all ‎systems; installs and configures systems; recommends hardware and software acquisitions ‎and upgrades. This is a hands on role. Requires extensive knowledge of windows servers ‎and desktops (Windows 7/8, Windows Server 2008/2012, MS Office, Antivirus). Experience ‎working on hospitality software applications such as Micros, FMC, ResPak.



Primary Responsibilities



•Provide primary support for end user computing needs by managing the deployment ‎and maintenance of all hardware and software.‎

•Developing centralized, efficient methods for maaging end user systems to ‎minimize downtime and hands on visits to workstations.‎

•Accurately maintaining IT asset inventory and software licensing compliance.‎

•Performing hardware repair and maintenance.‎

•Identifying and addressing complex usability problems.‎

•Assisting in the preparation of department budgets and business plans involving

purchasing new services, hardware, software, and other IT supplies.‎

•Managing various user accounts such as Windows domain, emails and ensuring that the appropriate levels of security are maintained while enabling users to complete their work effectively.‎

•Participate in the active management of security risks by monitoring device

security and recommending and implementing continuous improvements.‎

•Ensuring all end user systems has up-to-date anti-malware protection.‎

•Ensuring software updates are tested and applied in a timely fashion.‎

•Creating, analyzing, summarizing and monitoring usage reports.‎

•Experience in setting up IT infrastructure.‎

•Active directory management in Windows server 2008‎

•Installation and setup of new servers, desktops, laptops, printers, scanners and other ‎IT devices.‎

•Experience in setting up Fortigate and VPN between offices ‎

•Knowledge of CCTV systems

•Troubleshooting hardware and software problems

•Contingency planning and testing

•Perform backups as per the agreed routines

•Responsible for backups and uptime of servers, systems, internet and applications.‎

•Assist in other IT issues assigned by IT Manager

•Working with staff on customized application development projects ‎

•Liaison with group staff to ensure that end user and organizational needs are met, ‎including the submission of and follow-up on work requests for telephone and data ‎network service, email, copiers, and printers.‎
