• Provides all basic carpentry hand tools and skilled labor to complete skilled carpentry work according to instructions, project specifications, and plans.

• Designs, constructs, remodels, retrofits and repairs interior and exterior structures made of wood.

• Designs, constructs, retrofits, and repairs cabinets, tables, shelves, benches, partitions, flooring, door and window frames, and other types of furniture. May install and repair modular furniture.

• Cleans, maintains, adjusts, calibrates and services equipment used in the performance of duties.

• Monitors work done by outside contractors for adherence to contract and reports back to supervisor.

• Assists in the writing and reviewing of specifications for carpentry repairs and new carpentry construction.

• Researches, purchases and inventories materials and supplies to be used or incorporated into carpentry work.

• Maintain a neat workspace and organize tools, materials and supplies throughout the day to maintain a professional working environment.

• Comply with all safety requirements and participate in safety meetings.

• Review daily task assignments and clarify any material needs with supervisor
