Responsible to ensure that the company attracts and retains the best talent, through adopting “best practice” sourcing and selection methods for both internal and external candidates. Develops a robust talent spotting and succession planning processes, which promotes dynamic career progression and free movement of “talent” across and between all areas of our business. Ensures that we “identify” and drive the “nurturing” of our best talent.
- Develops resourcing strategy in line with future business and manpower needs.
- Ensure the business manpower plans are delivered on time
- Influence resourcing and other related costs
- Manage the resourcing and talent budgets to maximize cost effectiveness
- Ensure that there is a pro-active identification of planned and unplanned vacancies and have an appropriate pipelines to fill these vacancies
- Respond promptly to vacancies and organizational “gaps”
- Influence the business to adopt new talent management systems and processes.
- Ensure business leaders are aligned to talent management and new resourcing initiatives and ways of working
- Ensure organization structures are aligned across all business units
- Ensure operational teams create opportunities for their staff to progress their careers both within and outside their own departments and brands
- Have an up to date database of all talent metrics by individual and department
- Set internal promotion targets which are achieved
- Ensure there is free movement of Internal candidates across departments and positions
- Maintain a strong “talent” pipeline
