Assign works responsibilities / tasks to individual members of his team; control and guide activities to successful work completion.
Carry out repair works as required on plant, equipment and structures.
Carry out or lead preventive & corrective maintenance tasks on various maintenance equipment as per procedures and in accordance with OEM requirements.
Carry out Condition monitoring on periodic basis and establish trends to monitor plant equipment performance to predict failures and take corrective action before occurrence.
Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and to make recommendations.
Consider the implications of issues such as cost, safety and time constraints.
Economize on the use of materials and ensure that equipment and accessories are in good working order and report deficiencies if any.
Check and confirm the received materials or spare parts are within the standards and specifications. Develop material specifications/inspection procedures.
Designing and implementing cost-effective equipment modifications to help improve safety, reliability and throughput "continuous improvement process"
Comply with company procedure, safety regulations and job safe practices to protect personnel, plant and equipment.
Discussing and solving complex problems with manufacturing departments, sub-contractors and suppliers.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
Discuss with engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.
Research and analyze design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications.
Research, design, evaluate, install, operate, and maintain mechanical products, equipment, systems and processes to meet requirements, applying knowledge of engineering principles.
Prepares performance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures requesting special services.
Maintains system data base by entering proper data in the system.
